Are you Anti Wrinkles? Speak to the staff at Lightsculpt about Anti-Wrinkle Treatments!

Amongst other benefits, Anti-Wrinkle Injectables Helps Reduce The Signs Of Ageing In the Face.

There are several anti-wrinkle treatments including Muscle relaxing agent injections and dermal fillers. Wrinkles form from either overactive muscles or the loss of collagen. The lines in the top part of your face (from your hair line to below your eyes) are generally caused by overactive muscles. These lines mat need to be treated with an Injectable Muscle Relaxant. The lines in the bottom part of your face are caused by loss collagen. These lines may be treated with Dermal Fillers.

What is a Muscle relaxing agent ?

A Muscle relaxing agent  is a prescription medicine that is injected into muscles and used to improve the look of moderate to severe frown lines between the eyebrows (glabellar lines),uncontrolled blinking, lazy eye, wrinkles, crows feet and facial creases in people 18 to 65 years of age for a short period of time (typically 4 months). A Muscle relaxing agent is administered as a non-surgical treatment that is injected directly into the muscles. It works by blocking nerve impulses to the injected muscles. This reduces muscle activity that causes moderate to severe lines to form.

Muscle relaxing agents should ONLY be injected by registered and trained Doctors.

How does a Muscle relaxing agent work?

Muscle relaxing injectables work to relax the contraction of muscles by blocking nerve impulses. The result is muscles may no longer be able to contract, and so the wrinkles relax and soften. It usually takes two to four days to see cosmetic improvement and the effects tend to last from three to four months although results may vary per individual.

Most patients require further treatments to remove wrinkles and lines as they begin to reappear, but after each injection the wrinkles return less severe as the muscles are trained to relax. Results may vary per individual as everybody is different and may respond differently to treatments mentioned.

Will I look Frozen?

A common misconception about Muscle relaxing agents is that it makes you look “frozen” and without expression – this is untrue and depends entirely on how your doctor injects and how much Muscle relaxing agent gets injected as well as the individual themselves (results may vary).

A soft, natural look is by far the most common request and with experienced injectors your ideal look may be easily achieved.

Frown lines (wrinkles between the eyebrows) crow’s feet (wrinkles around the eyes) and forehead lines (wrinkles in the forehead) appear because of persistent small muscle contractions. Wrinkles that are caused by persistent small muscle contractions need to be treated with an Injectable Muscle Relaxant

Will Muscle relaxing agents remove all my wrinkles?

Be aware that anti-wrinkle injections will not improve “static” lines (lines which appear even when you’re not expressing yourself). These kinds of lines are caused by collagen loss andmay usually require a resurfacing laser and/or dermal fillers to achieve the optimal result. Results on any treatment may vary per individual as everybody is different and may respond differently to treatments mentioned.

When a Muscle relaxing agent is used before deep lines set in, these injections may quite often prevent deep lines from forming in the first place.
